Jemila Mohamed has been practicing law since 2022 and practices exclusively immigration law. Ms. Mohamed grew up in Beaverton, Oregon and received her B.S. from Portland State University. Ms. Mohamed began her immigration career as a legal assistant with Gonzales Gonzales and Gonzales from 2017-2019, before going on to attend Lewis & Clark Law School. During law school, Ms. Mohamed interned with Immigration Counseling Services and the Catholic Charities of Oregon. She was also a board member of the Immigration Student Group and the Black Lawyers Student Association during all three years of law school.
After graduating with her J.D. and passing the bar in 2022, Ms. Mohamed worked as an attorney fellow with Innovation Law Lab. She has successfully represented clients before United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in applications for asylum, U visas, TPS, and other family-based applications. She has also successfully represented clients before the Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) Immigration Court and handled cases before the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). At Gonzales Gonzales and Gonzales, Ms. Mohamed's primary focus is in litigation and removal defense. As a daughter of immigrants from Ethiopia, Ms. Mohamed is dedicated to providing excellent representation and service to clients.
